Jim Wade co-founded M/C Partners in 1986 with Dave Croll. He has been investing in communications and technology services since the advent of wireless and broadband, cornerstones of the firm’s sector focus. As Chairman, he manages the firm’s investment process, and continuously seeks out management teams, company prospects and financial resources to grow the portfolio. Jim’s successful track record includes MetroPCS (IPO), Lightower Holdings (acquired by Berkshire Partners), Cavalier Telephone (acquired by PAETEC), NuVox Communications (acquired by WindStream), Attenda (acquired by Darwin Private Equity), Melita (acquired by Apax Partners), PR Wireless (joint venture with Sprint affiliate in Puerto Rico), Thrive Networks (acquired/recapitalized by Court Square) and Involta (acquired by Carlyle Group). Today he serves as a director on the Board of Connectivity Wireless and has responsibility for Omega Wireless. Jim graduated from the University of Notre Dame a B.B.A in Finance and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives outside Boston with his wife and four children. Jim was an avid boater and is now an average golfer.
Abhishek (A.B.) is a Partner at M/C Partners, where he leads origination, deal diligence and portfolio company support for investments in a variety of communications and technology services segments. He currently serves on the Board of Ascend Technologies, Connectivity Wireless, Edafio Technology Partners, TowerCom and serves as a Board Observer for Thrive Networks. A.B. previously served as a Board Observer for Ensono (acquired by KKR) and QOS Networks (acquired by Zayo). Prior to joining M/C Partners in 2015, A.B. worked at Altman Solon (formerly Altman Vilandrie), a technology, media & telecommunications focused strategy consulting firm, where he completed projects for both operating companies and private equity investors. A.B. received a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He lives in Boston’s South End and outside of work, enjoys skiing, cycling, traveling and cheering on his home-town Patriots and Celtics.
Kyle Archer is a Senior Associate at M/C Partners, where he focuses on investment opportunities in the communications and technology services sectors. Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Kyle was a Senior Consultant at Altman Solon (formerly Altman Vilandrie), where he provided strategy consulting and M&A advisory for TMT investors and operators. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Literature from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Kyle currently lives in Cambridge and enjoys reading, sailing, and exploring all the greater Boston area has to offer.
Arvind Viswanathan is a Vice President at M/C Partners, where he focuses on investment opportunities in the communications and technology services sectors. He currently serves as a Board Observer for Ascend Technologies, Connectivity Wireless and Edafio Technology Partners. Prior to joining M/C Partners in 2018, Arvind was an Analyst at BNP Paribas where he worked in the leveraged finance group, completing financings for private equity-led buyouts of middle-market companies across various sectors. He received a B.S. in Economics and Mathematics from Duke University. He lives in Boston’s Back Bay and enjoys playing basketball, golfing, skiing and traveling.
David Croll is a Senior Advisor at M/C Partners, the firm he co-founded with Jim Wade in 1986. From the beginning David has focused on communications and technology services sectors, identifying new investment opportunities as these industries have evolved over the last 40 years. He has been actively involved in more than 100 investments establishing M/C Partners as a leader in communications investing. David received a BS in engineering with honors from Cornell University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. David serves on the Board of Trustees of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Board of Directors of The Trustees of Reservations and the Board of the Buzzards Bay Coalition, both Massachusetts Conservation Organizations. He is also a Presidential Counselor and Trustee Emeritus of Cornell University. David and his wife live in Chestnut Hill, MA and he enjoys boating in New England waters, being an amateur arborist and exploring spectacular natural open spaces.
Emaly Hunt is the Executive Assistant to the Managing Partners of M/C Partners. Previously, Emaly worked at Baring Asset Management as the Assistant to the President – North America, and at Bovis Lend Lease as a Project Administrator. Emaly received an MCP (Masters of Community Planning) and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island. She lives on the North Shore of Boston with her husband and Carolina Dog, Ginger.
Samuel Rector is the Vice President of Finance at M/C Partners, responsible for all LP reporting. He previously worked at RSM McGladrey as a Senior Associate in the Assurance group. Sam received a B.S. in Accounting from Fairfield University and an MBA from Suffolk University. He currently lives in Reading with his wife and two children. He enjoys cheering on Boston sports teams and spending time at the beach with his family.
Marie Dixon has been a member of the M/C Partners team since inception and today serves as controller, responsible for the oversight of Securities Exchange Commission compliance, M/C Partners Co-Investment Program and tax compliance issues. Prior to M/C Partners, Marie was a senior accountant at Bank of New England. She is a member of the Treasurers’ Club of Boston. Marie received a B.S. in Accounting from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and an MBA from Suffolk University. Marie and her husband live north of Boston and have three grown children. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with family and friends.
Ms. Burke joined M/C Partners in 1987 and is responsible for the firm’s management company and general partnerships as well as all employee benefit programs. Previously, Ms. Burke worked for The Beacon Companies as a project cost accountant. She is a member of the Treasurers’ Club of Boston and The Private Equity Human Resource Group which is comprised of HR Directors from local Venture Capital/Private Equity firms in Boston. Ms. Burke received an A.S. in Accounting from Bunker Hill Community College. She lives north of Boston and enjoys spending time with her three children and two grandchildren.

Previous Board seats include: Baja Broadband, Cavalier Telephone, City Signal Communication, CSDVRS, Elantic Networks, Ensono, Everstream, FDN Networks, Involta, MCCC ICG Holdings, Onvoy, PlumChoice, QOS Networks and Zayo Group. Prior to M/C Partners, Gillis worked on mergers and acquisitions in the Global Telecommunications Corporate Finance Group at Salomon Smith Barney. Gillis graduated cum laude from Duke University where he received an B.A. in Economics with distinction. He lives outside of Boston with his wife and five children.
Ed Keefe has served as CFO and Chief Compliance Officer for M/C Partners for over 17 years, overseeing all finance and administration activities, information technology and financial reporting to the Limited Partners. Prior to joining the firm, Ed held a variety of roles at leading investment and accounting firms, including vice president of finance at Atlas Venture; manager of financial planning and analysis at Instrumentation Laboratory; tax Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand (PricewaterhouseCoopers); and senior financial analyst at Raytheon Company. Previously Ed was President of Financial Executives International (FEI Boston Chapter) and the Treasurers’ Club of Boston. Also, he was a board member of The University of Maine Business School, The University of Maine Foundation, The Bostonian Society, Rebuilding Together Boston and The Emerson Umbrella. Ed received a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from The University of Maine, an MBA from Suffolk University and a M.S. in Taxation from Bentley University. He lives outside of Boston, enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid Boston sports fan.
Ryan Carr is a Partner at M/C Partners, where he leads origination, deal diligence and portfolio company support for investments in a variety of communications and technology services segments. He serves on the Board of BAI Connect, celito.net, Denovo and Zentro (previously Everywhere Wireless). Ryan previously served on the Board of Thrive Networks (acquired/recapitalized by Court Square) and as Board Observer of PlumChoice. Prior to joining M/C Partners in 2016, he worked at MVP Capital, a telecommunications, media and technology focused boutique investment bank, where he completed a number of financing and M&A transactions in wireless communications and infrastructure, fiber infrastructure and media sectors. Ryan also previously worked as a certified public accountant in the energy and telecommunications sectors of KPMG. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance, Accounting and Entrepreneurship from Gonzaga University. Ryan currently lives in South Boston with his wife and two children. He enjoys golfing, skiing and college basketball
Julia Senior is a Partner at M/C Partners, where she leads origination, deal diligence and portfolio company support for investments in a variety of communications and technology services segments. She currently serves on the Board of Carbon60, DAS42 and SoniqWave and provides portfolio coverage for Omega Wireless and Canopy Spectrum. Julia was previously a Board Observer for Involta. Prior to joining M/C Partners in 2016, Julia was an equity research analyst on the Telecommunications team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she covered companies in the wireline, wireless, data center and tower industries. Julia is a CFA charterholder and received an B.A. in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She lives in Boston’s Bay Village. An outdoor enthusiast, Julia enjoys running, golfing, hiking and skiing.
Travis Keller is a Managing Partner and helps to identify overarching investment themes for the firm. He currently serves on the Board of C3 Integrated Solutions and Denovo. He previously served on the Board of QOS Networks (acquired by Zayo). Travis brings more than 15 years of investment and operations experience in communications and technology services, having previously been a Partner at Altman Solon, a strategy consulting and investment advisory firm specializing in technology, media and telecom. While at Altman Solon he completed more than 300 engagements, evaluating investment opportunities and developing business strategies related to the data center, cloud computing, fiber infrastructure, telecom and managed services markets. Travis received an A.B. in Economics and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College. He lives in Cambridge with his wife and two young daughters. He and his family enjoy exploring the mountains of the Mad River Valley in Vermont, hiking and swimming in the warmer months and skiing as snow permits.
Brian Clark is a managing partner at M/C Partners, where he has spent over 20 years actively identifying and managing investment opportunities in the mobile, wireless infrastructure (towers and DAS), IoT, fiber and broadband services sectors. He currently serves on the Board of BAI Connect, Connectivity Wireless, Everywhere Wireless, Soniqwave, TowerCom, and has primary responsibility for Omega Wireless and Canopy Spectrum. Past experience includes investments in Cellular One of East Texas, Lightower Holdings, Mobi PCS, PR Wireless, MetroPCS and Triad 700. Prior to joining M/C Partners, Brian worked in Corporate Finance in the Global Telecommunications Group at Salomon Smith Barney. Brian received a B.B.A with dual concentrations in Finance and Accounting and a Masters in Accounting with distinction from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Brian lives outside Boston with his wife and four children. In his free time, he enjoys binge watching shows on Netflix, playing basketball and rooting for the Miami Dolphins.

Zack Halpryn is an Associate at M|C Partners, where he focuses on investment opportunities in the digital infrastructure and technology services sectors. Prior to joining MC, Zack worked at HarbourVest Partners, where he was focused on buyout and growth equity investments. Previously he worked at Performance Equity Management and Credit Suisse. Zack received a B.B.A in Finance (summa cum laude) from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. He currently lives in Boston’s West End and in his spare time enjoys playing sports (volleyball, basketball, golf), reading and watching the Celtics.

Cuba Burch Berner is an Associate at M|C Partners, where he focuses on investment opportunities in digital infrastructure and technology services. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Cuba was an Equity Research Associate at Citi covering infrastructure companies within the telecommunications industry, including data centers and wireless towers. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics with a specialization in Economics from the University of Chicago. Cuba currently lives in Boston’s West End and enjoys a myriad of outdoor activities including running, swimming, hiking, and skiing.
Jason Stutman is a Senior Fund Accountant at M/C Partners, responsible for the cash management of co-investment vehicles, preparing quarterly financial statements, and communication with Limited Partners. Prior to joining the firm in 2023, Jason worked in the Portfolio Analytics Group at HarbourVest Partners. He earned a BSBA with honors in Finance with a minor in Computer Information Science from The Ohio State University. Jason lives in South Boston and enjoys cheering on Boston sports teams, playing hockey and golf and traveling.
