Managing Partner

James F. Wade

Mr. Wade has been responsible for developing the firm's involvement in the telecom service sectors, including mobile wireless, broadband wireless, CLEC, fiber and residential broadband providers. As Managing Partner of the firm, Mr. Wade leads the investment process including determining sector focus, seeking out management teams, founding new companies and working with financial sources that provide debt and equity capital to grow companies. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Involta, Neutral Connect Networks, Thrive Networks and has responsibility for Omega Wireless. Previous board seats include: PR Wireless (formed joint venture with Sprint affiliate in PR), Lightower Holdings (acquired by Berkshire Partners), Melita (acquired by Apax Partners), MetroPCS (IPO), Attenda (acquired by Darwin Private Equity), Brooks Fiber Properties (IPO and sale to AT&T Wireless), Cavalier Telephone (acquired by PAETEC), NuVox Communications (acquired by WindStream), and Triad Communications (acquired by T-Mobile). Mr. Wade graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.

David D. Croll

Mr. Croll focuses on targeting sectors for investment, fund management, making investment decisions, assisting with recruiting and communicating with investors. He has been involved with over 100 investments in the communications services spaces over the past 35 years. He serves as President of the Board of Trustees at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Finance Committee of Cornell University, and on the Board of Directors of The Trustees of Reservations, a Massachusetts land conservation organization. Mr. Croll received a BS in engineering with honors from Cornell University and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Harvard Business School.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Clark was with Salomon Smith Barney in the Global Telecommunications Corporate Finance Group, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions in the wireline and wireless segments of the telecommunications industry. Mr. Clark received a BBA with dual concentrations in Finance and Accounting and a Masters in Accounting with distinction from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Keller was a Director at Altman Vilandrie & Company, a technology, media and telecom (TMT) focused strategy consulting and investment advisory firm. While at Altman Vilandrie, he completed more than 300 engagements with a focus on evaluating investment opportunities and developing business strategies related to the data center, cloud computing, fiber infrastructure, telecom and managed services markets. Mr. Keller received an A.B. in Economics and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College.

Edward J. Keefe

Mr. Keefe joined M/C Partners in 2004 and is responsible for the oversight of all finance and administration activities, information technology and financial reporting to the Limited Partners. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Keefe was Vice President of Finance at Atlas Venture, which is a leading early-stage venture capital firm. Previously, Mr. Keefe also served as Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis at Instrumentation Laboratory, Tax Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand (a predecessor to PricewaterhouseCoopers) and as a Senior Financial Analyst at Raytheon Company. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for The University of Maine Foundation. Mr. Keefe was President of Financial Executives International (FEI Boston Chapter) and the Treasurers' Club of Boston. He has previously been a member on the Board of Directors of The University of Maine Business School, The Bostonian Society, Rebuilding Together Boston and The Emerson Umbrella. Mr. Keefe received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from The University of Maine, an MBA from Suffolk University and a MS in Taxation from Bentley University.

Prior to MVP, Mr. Carr worked as a certified public accountant in the energy and telecommunications sectors of KPMG. Mr. Carr received a B.B.A. in Finance, Accounting and Entrepreneurship from Gonzaga University.

Previously, Ms. Burke worked for The Beacon Companies as a project cost accountant. She is a member of the Treasurers’ Club of Boston and The Private Equity Human Resource Group which is comprised of HR Directors from local Venture Capital/Private Equity firms in Boston. Ms. Burke received an AS in Accounting from Bunker Hill Community College.

Ms. Dixon joined M/C Partners in 1982 and is responsible for the oversite of the Securities Exchange Commission Compliance, the M/C Partners Co-Investment Program and other Tax Compliance issues. Emaly received an MCP (Masters of Community Planning) and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island.
